Kendriya Vidyalaya No.4 Varanasi came into existence on 8th April 2003.It is a civil sector Vidyalaya. Initially the Vidyalaya started functioning in Ramapura, Varanasi with 114 students from class I to V. Later the Vidyalaya was shifted to DLW Campus on 29th September 2003. The Vidyalaya is presently running into two premises in the DLW Campus: Primary Section in Narmada Primary School Building and Secondary Section in Shipra School Building. At present we have 444 students in classes up to X. There are 23 members in the Vidyalaya staff.
The first batch of Class X appeared in CBSE Board Examination in the year 2009 with 100% pass out. The percentage of pass out during the years 2010, 2011 and 2012 was 96.67, 100 and 100 respectively. In the year 2013, the vidyalaya touched a new height and got 4th rank in quality result in class X board examination.
