The founder of Sunflag School was Late Shri Satyadev Bharadwaj, an eminent Philanthrophist and the school is being sponsored by Bharadwaj Welfare Trust , New Delhi. Its foundation stone was laid on 17th March, 1988. It started functioning on 1st August, 1988 with the handful and lovable students of I to VIII with 200 students, 17 teaching and administrative staff. Driven by its commitment to provide quality education i.e. analytical , reasoning, logical experimental, moral and value based education to its students. The Sunflag school has come into limelight and reached its excellence as the best school in Bhandara District, Maharashtra. The school is trying its best for the overall development of the child not only academically but also physically, mentally and spiritually which was the ultimate aim of Late Shri Satyadev Bharadwaj, the founder of Sunflag school.
