Welcome to the site of the KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO.1, COLABA, MUMBAI with 1565 students and 79 staff on rolls as on 31.01.2017. The origin of the Vidyalaya goes back of sixties when Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan came into existence. Kendriya Vidyalaya no. 1 came into existence in 1963. It is one of the five earliest army schools taken over by the KVs.
