St. Xavier?s High School, including its Primary and Kindergarten Sections, is run by ?The Nasik St. Xavier?s Society?, an Educational Trust established by the?Society of Jesus?, a Christian Religious Order founded by Ignatius of Loyola in 1540. This Society has been active in the field of education throughout the world ever since its origin. The first Jesuit Educational Institution was established in Goa, India, in 1542, by Francis Xavier, the patron of this School. Today, in India alone, the Society of Jesus is responsible for over 120 Schools and 25 Colleges, in which a large number of young people, belonging to every social class, community,and linguistic group are being educated through the English medium as also through the medium of nine regional languages.
