R.D. Khosla D.A.V. Model Sr. Sec. School has emerged as a Premier Temple of learning where children are tendered, nurtured, molded and chiseled into personalities.

The sapling of school was planted in the soil of Batala in 1980 with just 210 students, 4 class rooms and 10 teachers.

Within a span of 5 years on 1st May 1985, it was granted affiliation by C.B.S.E. upto Secondary level and was upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 1993.
The school imparts education in the faculties of Medical/Non-Medical/ Commerce and Humanities. At present, this multifaculty institution has around 5000 students on Rolls around 180 teachers.

Aims & Achievements
There is not doubt that the main aim of the school is to provide excellence in scholastics, showing best academic results. But the aim of education, as stated, is to send forth students with integrated personalities having a fusion of developed intellect, life skills, moral values, sense of social responsibilities. In reality we aim at instilling values of thoughtfulness, citizenship and humanity to make them participants in the noble task of Nation building.
