Aruppukottai Nadargal Uravinmurai Pothu Abhiviruthi Trust was started more than a century ago in 1850. In those times there were no proper education facilities available in and around Aruppukottai . With the generous thought of providing knowledge to all poor people in the region,SBK [Saiva Bhanu Kshatriya] school was opened in 1870 and then bloomed within a short span of time as SBK Higher Secondary School in 1895. Now, it has evolved as a first class institution which creates thousands of brilliant students every year.
