Saint Andre School, Bodhjungnagar, Tripura was started as a result of the felt need of the people of surrounding villages by a local managing committee in the year 1986, with 12 children and one master in Gamchakobra.

Due to lack of proper facilities and experience the people offered the school to the Holy Cross Fathers.

Since 1991 this school is managed and administered by the Holy Cross Fathers under Holy Cross Educational Foundation with a minority status.
