Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir was set up on 02 October, 1996 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a non-government organization of well reputed with its Headquarters at Mumbai, Now it has more than 375 institutes, 118 Kendras in India and 7 overseas centers, The school is affiliated to CBSE and recognized by the state Govt. The school is located about 15 km. away from the city (AGARTALA) center and offers English medium education from Classes Preparatory I (LKG) to XII std. This School is situated at Bimangarh (Narsingarh), Agartala, West Tripura. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tripura and was graced by Late. Dr. Pratap Chandra Chunder, Late Chairman, Bhavan's Kolkata Kendra. This School is permanently affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, DELHI.

Appreciating the goal efforts done by Bhavans in the field of education, the Govt. of Tripura requested Bhavans to setup an educational institute and centre in Tripura and accordingly , offered and land area of 10 acres near TIT (Technical Institute of Tripura) with one time grant of Rs. 5 lac. ONGC granted Rs.10 lakhs, ACC Cement and steel Authority of India came forward to carry the entire project. Finally Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir came into being existence in 2nd October 1996 at Narsingarh, Agartala.
