The school was established in the year 2002 under the Kannan Educational Society, a charitable trust that aims at imparting quality education to children of rural areas. The school is located in a remote place - covering an area of 3 acres of land, far from the madding crowd, in the lap of nature surrounded by vast expanse of paddy fields and scenic beauty, a seasonal home land of migrating birds, a place of attraction for tourists and foreigners where children can enjoy fresh air, the greenery and the simplicity of village life.

The school aims at the holistic development of the children rather than producing professionals, to shape and mould good human beings with qualities of head and heart, useful for the family, society and the nation at large.
