Ghumarwin is a town and a municipal council in Bilaspur district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It has become a major cultural and educational hub of District Bilaspur. The town is located on a sharp small river (Seer khud) bank in a small valley which diverts towards Bilaspur.Ghumarwin is rapidly emerging city in bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. The town celebrates a famous four-day fair at the dawn of summer in First week of April. The town is a tehsil and home to rapidly expanding entrepreneurship. Ghumarwin is also famous for its variety of sweet preparation and local cuisines. Situated on Shimla-Kangra NH88 it is well connected to rest of neighbouring states.HRTC busses and Taxis operate to nearly all possible routes on each sides.

Vidyalaya is located at a distance of 20km from Bilaspur district , Himachal Pradesh , Near Shiv Mandir Ghumarwin . Bus stand is located at just 100 m from the vidyalaya ( 24 hrs service ) . However railway transport is not available . Local Transport is available at just Rs 20- 30

Kendriya Vidyalaya Ghumarwin was established in July 2012 in the civil sector sponsored by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh to provide uninterrupted education at the school level to the wards of Defence personnel, Central Govt. employees, Ex-servicemen, War Widows and to those parents who can not keep their families with them due to non-availability of Kendriya Vidyalaya at their place of posting in far flung / field areas and or posting at Metropolitan cities and also for civilians . The Vidyalaya is running in temporary building The Vidyalaya provides all type of activities for all round development of every student
