SPORTS
A sound programme of physical education helps the students develop a strong and healthy body while being a source of valuable recreation. The school possesses large play grounds to provide ample opportunities to the students to play various games and sports under the guidance of trained and qualified coaches. Due emphasis is laid on track and field event. Intra & inter ?house competitions are arranged to develop healthy sportsman spirit among the students. Special coaching camps for various games are also organized intermittently. Keeping in mind the value of games in the physical and mental growth of the students the school provides excellent facilities for all major games. We have SAI specified hockey and football grounds and basketball courts. Students practice regularly under the able guidance of NIS qualified coaches. Lighting arrangements have been made to make the facilities available in the evening hours as well. Apart from these, the facilities for table tennis, handball, volleyball, chess, and badminton are also provided. Students are encouraged to take part in the game of their interest. Some of the players have displayed their skills individually or in teams at National-Level during past years. Taek-won-do coach and players went to Russia & Egypt for international junior championship and trainings.
