Vidya Jyoti School is an educational institution under the management of CMI fathers of Nirmal Province of Jagdalpur of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate Society. It was established in the year 2000 and is situated in Jagdalpur town on the Geedam Road. It is easily accessible from all parts of the town and yet it is endowed with a calm, quite and peaceful atmosphere. It imparts instruction to students from Nursery to standard XII in the English medium with Hindi as second language.
The C.M.I congregation was founded in 1831 at Mannanam near Kottayam, Kerala and is the first and foremost among this indigenous religious congregations in India. Fr. Cyriac Elias Chavara of the order of sanctity gave a definite religious form to this community and was a man ahead of his times and laid the foundation for all modem and progressive fields of activities to which the congregation is committed at present. The School has the motto "LIGHT, LOVE AND LIFE". There is an innate yearning in man to move "from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from mortality to eternal life".
