he meaning of Bala Hissar is ?THE CITADEL AT THE TOP?. BALA HISSAR ACADEMY (BHA) was established as a co- educational residential and Day School on 18th July 1983. Currently Bala Hissar Academy is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi. The Academy prepares students for the ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) Examinations. English is the medium of instruction throughout the school but Hindi holds a place of every high importance in the curriculum and every effort is made to ensure that each student reaches a high standard in the language. A wide range of subjects are offered in the higher classes and students may join Science, Commerce or Art streams. Socially Useful Productive Work (S.U.P.W) is a compulsory subject.
