DESCRIPTION:

ST. PAUL HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, Dimapur was inaugurated on 23rd January 1978 by Mr. I.K.Chankija, the then ADC of Dimapur and blessed by late Rt. Rev. Abraham Alangimattathil, the then Bishop of the Diocese of Kohima. The school is owned and run by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS).

The school had a humble beginning with 3 (three) Classrooms, 2(two) teachers and an enrolment of 60 (sixty) students. Sister Rose Teresa took charge as the first Headmistress and Sr. Theresa Kizhakethottam and Sr. Elsy Paikathe were the first teachers.

The school started with co-education, but the boys had to leave the school after the completion of Class VI and later on after completion of Class IV. The last batch of boys left the school in 2006. In 2007 it became a full pledged girls school following the vision of our founder Venerable Thomas Kurialacherry  that ?By renewing and bettering families, localities and countries through girls? schools we can draw them effectively to God.?

The school was given recognition by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on 5th August 1989. It is affiliated to the NBSE. In 1992 the first batch of students appeared the Matric (HSLC) Examination. The school was upgraded to Higher Secondary school in the year 2006 with both Arts and Science Streams. The first batch of students appeared their HSSLC Exam in the year 2008. The results of class X and Class XII examinations are outstanding till date. Sister Rose Theresa took charge as the first Principal in 2006 and Sister Jessina took charge of it in 2008 as the second principal till date.
