Prakash Public School is the dream realization of Shri. Nishikant Patil (Dada), the founder Secretary of Prakash Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Urun ?Islampur whose multi-faceted experience in various walks of life has materialized in the formation of the school. A board of eminent personalities and handpicked faculty bring their unique inputs and insights into the running of the school.

The school was established in 2004 with hardly 18 students in L.K.G. but its popularity resulted in the increase of strength within few years. The present strength of the school is more than 600.
