GAIL (India) Ltd, a Govt. of India undertaking Maharatna Company constructed a school building for providing educational facility to the children of its employees, at GAIL residential complex, Vijaipur. It was inaugurated on June 22nd, 1994. GAIL authorities requested Sri Sathya Sai Trust, M. P. to run this school and the latter agreed to do so. Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar GAIL Complex, Vijaipur, thus began regular classes from L.K.G. to VII, on June 15th 1995. In four years the school was upgraded upto XII with 480 students and has more than 980 students on roll now. The institution is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and accredited to ISSE Mumbai sent up the first batch of students for AISSE 1998 conducted by C.B.S.E. Delhi, and the first batch for AISSCE (XII) in the year 2000.
