Firststeps school started with a first batch of only 14 children on 13th April, 2008 and in growing ever since. The School is located in the prestigious educational Sector 26 of the city. Most of the good schools are located in this sector. The present area of the campus is about 0.61 Acres. The campus has a three storied modern building with all facilities and Air-Conditioned Class Rooms. There is a Tree House, Splash Pool, Play Area with rubberised floor, Multimedia room and all other of a modern school facilities.

FirstSteps is well equipped and geared for providing the highest standards of Education to the students the programs offer peace of mind to each parent. The process of making the school, a smart school, has started. Four of the class rooms have been converted to be Smart Classes with entire equipment has been aproved from HCL. Every effort is made to constantly add facilities for the students and the staff Special care is taken for the security and safety of the children. Required number of fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipment is in place and in operational.

The School in now a Candidate school for International Baccalaureate (IB) / Primary years Program (PYP) pursuing authorisation to be a IB world School, First in Chandigarh Tri-City.
