Bal Bharati Public School aims to strike a balance between introducing children to a global outlook and teaching them about the Indian culture. The event which reiterated this ideology and created a buzz amongst the children was Dussehra, which was celebrated with much gusto. The tender blossoms of class I, dressed in traditional Garba attire, danced to the tunes of Gujarati Garba and presented dandiya raas. The festivity spread the message of unity in diversity of India. Soaked in festivity, the students assembled outdoors and were completely engrossed in Dussehra celebration which concluded in grand style with the burning of effigy of Ravana symbolizing the victory of good over evil and happiness over gloom. The school Principal, Mrs. Punam Dogra extended her heartiest felicitations to everyone on Dussehra and exhorted that the festival season is long drawn and offers excellent opportunity to relate to Indian traditions. Every festival should be celebrated in its true spirit and the values presented by it should be imbibed in its true sense.
