The Sagar School was founded in 2000 as a co-educational, residential school by Dr. Vidya Sagar, a leading intellectual property and corporate lawyer. The school has been set up by Sagar Shiksha Sansthan, a non-profit making society registered under The Societies Registration Act (1860). The school aims to ensure that its students achieve their highest academic and personal potential. It also aims to give them a firm foundation based upon an understanding of Indian culture, society and ideas. However, the school aims to use that base to build more globally aware citizens prepared for the rigours of the 21st century. This is encouraged through the curriculum and through visits, expeditions, exchange programmes and school events such as European quizzes. The school educates both boys and girls in classes IV to XII (age groups 8 to 17) under the CBSE scheme. Teaching is conducted in English in small classes with numbers limited to a maximum of 24. This allows the school to have a high teacher-student ratio, which ensures that individual needs can be assessed and individual help and support given. The school has been built to accommodate 450 students. Its facilities allow students to participate in the widest possible variety of activities.
The Sagar School is a thriving co-educational boarding CBSE School, a 2 hour drive from New Delhi airport and a 4.5 hours drive from Jaipur, located on a picturesque 160 acres campus. The undulating green landscape has more than 2500 beautiful flowering trees, over 10,000 shrubs and fruit orchards. With world-class facilities, an excellent teacher-student ratio of 1:8, School has students from over 20 states of India and other countries studying in classes IV to XII.
