DESCRIPTION:

Kings Matriculation School is a boarding and day school for boys and girls. It opened in 2005 and now educates 1,700 children aged from 3-17 undertaking the full range of education from Kindergarten to Plus Two.

The aim of Kings Matric is to provide a mainstream education in English for children of all backgrounds, Indian castes and religions, including children with disabilities, in a happy, caring and safe environment. We are unique as an Independent school in South India as we are a ?not for profit?, inclusive, community establishment.

Kings School is a successful example of the integration of all members of Indian society. The school is located on a beautiful 50 acre garden estate. It was architecturally designed and built and is equipped to the highest international standards. While academic achievements are high, we are equally determined that each child should be given the opportunity to discover and develop other interests, such as sport, art and music. We therefore have excellent facilities for such activities including an art room, a music room and extensive sports facilities.

The philosophy of the school is to provide a holistic education for children and additionally to teach them independence, leadership and about taking responsibility. Students are given the opportunity to join community organisations such as Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls and the Junior Red Cross, all of which are involved in regular Community Action Projects.
