The School
Royal Academy is an English Medium Senior Secondary School run by West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Tribes & Minority Welfare Association, a society registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961(Reg. No.-S/57955 of 1987-1988).
Royal Academy is permanently affiliated to the C.I.S.C.E., New Delhi (Code-WB337) and the classes range from Nursery to XII. Either Bengali or Hindi is compulsory from Class-I to X as a second language. A third language is compulsory from Class-V to VIII. Science, Commerce and Humanities streams are offered in ISC (XI & XII).
The school was established in the year 2004 by Dr. Rajani Kanta Doloi, former M.L.A., eminent educationist and a renowned social worker. The vision of Royal Academy is to empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them, as lifelong learners, to participate in and contribute to the global world and practise the core values of the school: respect, tolerance & inclusion, and excellence.
