DESCRIPTION:

Hermann Gmeiner School, Bhimtal, a co-educational residential school with provision for day scholars, was founded on June 01, 1984 by our parental organization SOS-CVI. It is located in the western Himalayas at an altitude of 4624 ft and occupies areas of 42 acres just above the Bhimtal Lake. Towards the west, it commands a magnificent view of evergreen tree- covered Himalayan ranges and to the south, the vast Genetic plains sprawling to the horizon. It is at a distance of 327 Kms. Northeast of Delhi, 400 Kms. from Lucknow and 22 Kms. from Kathgodam. 

A conglomeration of old and new buildings combines well-the traditional with the modern and adds a unique charisma to its overall splendor. The rainy season extends from July to early September. The place is cool and pleasant in summer but has intense winters.
