DESCRIPTION:

Army Public School was started in 1975 to cater to the academic need of children of army personnel. It comes under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). This co-educational school is at present affiliated to C.B.S.E. and sends out batches for the Board Examinations at the secondary Level.

In this constantly changing society, young minds are pitted against drastic changes in their environment. In these formative years, they need a genial, tranquil and natural learning environment. Army Public School, Gangtok provides all these to the child. Our aim is the holistic development and nurturing of the unique qualities of each individual child entrusted in our care. The words of Mahatma Gandhi, ?TRUTH IS GOD?, being the motto of the school, teach the students that in the midst of untruth truth persists, in the midst of darkness light persists.
