DESCRIPTION:

Baselius Augen, a CBSE public School, was founded in the year 1983 by Rev. C. K. Abraham, a widely known academic in the local community. It?s dedicated to the memory of Late. Lamented His Holiness Baselius Augen I. The founders have been inspired by their dedication to impart quality education to the common mass of Kodanad, a remote hamlet on the banks of the river Periyar.

Kodanad is amply blessed by the presence of the Holy shrine of St. Thomas on the other side of the river and the proximity to the great Indian Saint Adi Sankara?s birthplace, Kalady. The school has been maintaining academic excellence since its inception.

Our first batch of class X was presented in March 2008. Since then, we have a cent percent pass with A * and distinction for almost all. We have very good performance in both academic and co-curricular activities. We provide a very healthy ambiance for the intellectual, mental, physical and spiritual growth and development of the children who joined the campus. We have a team of very well qualified teachers with long years of teaching experience. The present team is headed by Ms. Mini Nair, an academic with outstanding records.

The campus is lush green with lots of trees and plants and we really enjoy our life in the lap of nature.

The school is part of the local community and it is our pleasant endeavour to carry the local community along with us. The creative, as well as the intellectual capabilities of our wards, bloom within the campus and they go out into the world in flying colours with self-confidence and added impulse for growth.
