DESCRIPTION:

Akash International School (AIS) is endowed with infrastructure that is designed to support academic endeavour, be it curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular. The center housing the IGCSE classes is a model of international excellence, designed to suit the needs of students following the Cambridge syllabi. The auditorium on the other is designed for the host of co-curricular activities that is at the heart of AIS educational programme encouraging all round excellence. Both the National Boards of CBSE & ICSE have the state-of-the-art facilities.

There are separate dorms for boys and girls in the hostel. Spacious room arrangements in the dormitories are fixed with individual cup-board, study table, chair and locker. Each floor has 10 dormitories to accommodate 50 students. The dormitories are modern, comfortable place to study, socialize and relax in a secured atmosphere. Highly trained and experienced WARDEN/MATRON and DORM PARENT provide daily support needed to meet academic, emotional and social needs of the students. Classrooms at AIS are ?Do and Learn? centres with digital facilities for smart and easy learning. Each classroom helps maintain a sense of continuity in the way the child perceives a subject through a range of stimuli that they are able to connect, evolving dynamically through the years, seamless and unlimited.

At AIS, each laboratory is an experience for students in learning, engaging students in formulating questions, performing experiments, and creating and revising explanatory models. Our laboratory experiences enhance students? understanding of the dynamic relationship between empirical research, and the scientific theories and concepts that result from research and lead to more research.

Our endeavour is to inculcate the reading habit in growing children so that learning is beyond the curriculum. AIS has a well established library which is an integral part of the school. It provides a stimulating, user friendly and informative environment. It has a vast collection of fiction and non-fiction, subject based and generic series encyclopedias. At Akash International School, every student has a choice of sports activities. The multi sports complex and the auditorium are the building grounds of champions and leaders of tomorrow. The extracurricular classes provide avenues enabling the students to enhance their sporting artistry.

A well maintained fleet of AIS buses ferries students from their homes to school and vice-versa. Each bus is equipped with a support staff and mobile phones assigned to every driver to ensure constant monitoring of each route. The newly installed GPS enable school authorities and parents to track the exact location of buses while plying the routes.

AIS boasts of a well-equipped art & craft room. Boys and girls enjoy hobby classes which include doll making, knitting, needle work, weaving, appliqu? work, bread works, book binding, candle making, pottery, wood sculpture, clay modeling, various kinds of painting, embroidery, fashion designing, theatre and recycling of paper.

Students at AIS are served delicious cuisine prepared by master chefs at the ultra modern mechanized kitchen. Homely ? style meals are served on a daily basis. AIS has separate dining halls for vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. Care is taken to ensure that every meal is healthy, hygienic and wholesome. An in-house dietician plans the menu. RO filtered drinking water ensures bacteria free and crystal clear water with the meals. The mess staff is well-attired and trained at maintaining cleanliness and hygiene both in the kitchen and in the eating arena.
