DESCRIPTION:

The International School Bangalore (TISB) was founded in 2000 and is an international boarding and day school set in 140 acres of stunning grounds on the outskirts of Bangalore. Throughout its 18-year history the school has delivered consistently high academic standards in both IB and IGCSE and strives to combine traditional values with a modern, global approach to life and learning.

TISB students are encouraged to be independent in their learning and approach to life which is illustrated in their unique management and facilitation of ?Vivum?, an annual two-day charitable event entirely overseen by Grade 12 students. Throughout the year the school provides a healthy balance of rigorous academic teaching with a wide range of sporting, co-curricular and academic activities including the Model United Nations and national and international sporting, theatrical and musical opportunities.

TISB has a thriving boarding community made up of three boarding houses, each one staffed by residential Houseparents. The boarding houses offer a home from home experience, with a balance of family life and academic support and boarders are offered a variety of weekend activities ranging from sports matches, quiz nights and activity trips such as cycling, paintballing and archery to meals out and cinema trips.
