The dynamism and vision of our late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, took a concrete shape in 1986 with the establishment of Navodaya Vidyalayas. Navodaya Vidyalayas are residential, co-educational institutions which are established in almost each district of the country to provide good quality modern education.

This NavodayaVidyalaya in Jashpur (C.G.) came into existence in 2006 which started functioning on 1st July 2006 and students of first batch were called to the Vidyalaya on 28 Aug. 2006.It is at present running in a permanent site at Dhorhidand, Kunkuri,Distt. Jashpur (C.G.).
