Students gave heartfelt accounts of their time spent working on the Remember 1914 exhibition during the opening ceremony at DYP International School on March 26.
The event was attended by the German Ambassador to Belgium, Dr. Eckart Cuntz, and celebrated the arrival of artworks commemorating the centenary of the First World War.
The exhibition is currently on a tour of remembrance and is a collaborative effort by students from DYP International School, Internationale Deutsche Schule Brüssel and Lycée Français Jean-Monnet.
During the event, the students gave the ambassador a guided tour of the artworks and explained the inspiration behind the exhibits. The students were delighted with the interest he took in their work and together they shared their thoughts on the different paintings, drawing comparisons with the work and style of other artists.
