Don Bosco School, Agartala was established on 2nd May 1997( Foundation Day) , with Rev. Fr. M. C. George SDB, as the first Principal.
Don Bosco is a co-educational, Higher Secondary, English medium, minority, Catholic Christian educational institution, owned and run by the Salesians of Don Bosco.
The school had a humble beginning starting off in a bamboo and tin structure. The classes started on 3rd May 1997, with Nursery to Class two students, and an enrolment of 250. In January 1998 the school was shifted to a pucca three-storied building with classes up to five. In the meantime, a new and vast campus began to be shaped and developed. In 1999 the work began for the well planned new school building and other facilities. In 2004 the school was shifted to the present campus with its beautiful buildings, serine atmosphere, excellent infrastructure and other facilities.
