This Kendriya vidyalaya is situated in Adra, which is a small picturesque town situated in the district of Purulia in the south of West Bengal. Geographically, it is surrounded by the Rajmahal Hills within the Chotanagpur Plateau region.Adra boasts of one of the oldest and important railway divisions under the South Eastern Railway.It is a junction railway station which is easily accessible by train from Howrah via Kharagpur and via Asansol; and also from the steel city of Tatanagar(Jamshedpur) via Purulia, which is the district headquarter.
