Kendriya Vidyalaya No. II Golconda was established in 1984 at MD Lines by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by Ministry of HRD, Government Of India.
From 1984 till 1995 the Vidyalaya was functioning in a make shift building in the army area of MD Lines, Golconda. In 1995 the Vidyalaya was shifted to its permanent building located in the army area of 47 Infantry Brigade within the vicinity of Nanal Nagar (roughly 3 Kms from the historic Golconda fort) after land was given to KVS.
The motto of our school is to ensure that it constantly strives for excellence in its pursuit to search for greener pastures .
Its main objective is to become a pace setting and trend setting institution. It believes in the KVS policy of caring cum sharing by creating viable options to develop a sense of belongingness and self esteem in the child.
The school caters to the requirements of not only the Army personnel but also the students from the civilian background. The Vidyalaya has roughly 1300 students from class I to class XII .
The approved strength per section is 40. The Vidyalaya has 3 sections per class from classes I to X and one section in classes XI and XII. The Vidyalaya has science & commerce stream on offer at + 2 level (ie. XI and XII).
