Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bokaro No. 1, was founded in the year 1966-67 in Bokaro Steel City. This is a civil sector co-education school under the Ranchi region of the KVS, is one of the most prestigious institution of learning in Bokaro. Blissful standing on its own imposing two-storied buildings, the school is located in Sec IV. It is a co-educational institution. It has the classes from I to XII.
