Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Gomoh civil sector Vidyalaya opened on 1988 on the demand of Railways Employees. It has its own pucca grand building having spacious classrooms, big library of good books, well equipped computer labs , a leveled playground surrounded by high boundary walls from all sides to provide a safe and suitable environment for all round development of child's personality.
Though there are good number of Public schools in and around the city, the quality of education by highly educated teaching staff and self disciplined habits inculcated in the children are the focus to attract admission in this prestigious institution.
Every year a good number of students of this Vidyalaya compete in the entrance exam of high profile. It is a co-educational institution.
