Queenie School was established in 1975, Situated in Laban, Shillong. Initially, the school had only Nursery class with only 5 students; the second year the school had 21 students and the third year 40 students. Slowly as the years passed by the school started growing and for many years it had only till primary level as such up to Class VII. Gradually the school became a high school got the recognition from the State Board (MBOSE) in 1998. Students started appearing S.S.L.C exam from the year 1998.
Today, in Queenie School there are more than 750 students from all communities of life. The fees structure is very nominal compared to other big schools. There are 30 teaching staff and 9 non-teaching staff who are also covered by Employees Provident Fund schemes.
