Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer is a Cat ‘A’ institution of the Indian Army, primarily catering to the wards of PBOR of Indian Armed Forces. The School has a distinguished history of over 86 years with several of our alumni occupying high positions in the Armed Forces as well as in public and private sectors, doing yeoman service to the motherland. School is a nursery to prepare future cadets for Armed Forces.
Schools run by the Ministry of Defence to impart quality education to wards of defence personnel and civilians from Classes VI to XII. These Schools are the founding members of the Indian Public School's Conference (IPSC). Established in the year 1925, these Schools are among the oldest Public Schools in India. There are five Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) located at Chail in Shimla Hills of Himachal Pradesh, Ajmer and Dholpur in Rajasthan, Belgaum and Bangalore in Karnataka. Cadets are admitted into Class VI & IX through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted under the aegis of the Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army).
