The Hindustani Kendriya Vidyalaya is sponsored by Purbottar Hindustani Sanmellan, a socio- cultural organization registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 bearing Registration No. 53 of 1948-49 on the pattern of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan formed by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Vidyalaya follows the syllabus CBSE, New Delhi. It is a Non-profit making registered society which is a linguistic minority institution protected under Article 30 of the Constitution of India & enjoys benefit under the income tax act. The instruction is imparted through the medium of English with a view to enable pupils to achieve reasonable measure of profieciency in the language. The vidyalaya prepares pupils for All India Secondary School Examinations and All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
The Vidyalaya is being developed as quality Vidyalaya without making the schooling very expensive. The quality of teaching is kept reasonably high by an appropriate teacher-pupil ratio and provision of a suitable proportion of teachers with high qualifications.
The Vidyalaya’s aim is at having not only a common syllabus but also a well prepared syllabus and good text books based on that syllabus. The Vidyalaya is equipped with good libraries, laboratories and variety of other useful co-curricular activities.
