St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School was established in 1988. It began as pre- primary and primary now as Sr. Sec. School. The school has three streams: Science, Medical and Commerce. The school has echoed a proud list of alumni. The classes begin at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. during summer and from 8:45 to 2:00 p.m. during winter. The Time table is tight and assiduously following with no class remaining unattended by a teacher. The school has high percentage requirement of students attendance according to the Central Board of Secondary Education. There also is air of subdued silence and serious work in the class-room and whole school campus. Flowering gardens quiet the visitors all around.
The school has realized the importance of sports in a child’s upbringing and has always strived to create a healthy and competitive attitude towards games and sports. To encourage students to play sports, games period is allotted for every class in which students are free to play game of their choice. Qualified teachers have been assigned the task of bringing the best potential out of every student. Every year in the month of November the school organizes its sports week.
The school also has health service attended by a professional on regular basis. The major health problems (if any) are refer to the hospital in the city.
The school also arranged educational Tours and trips to enhance the spirit of learning, confidence building, language development, sharing and caring. Students are also actively involved in many extracurricular activities. The schools yearly magazines by the students bring out their creative and other talents in forceful perspective.

On an average 250 students visit the library and 225 books were issued daily. Not only educational books but English and Hindi news papers, eight different magazines and interesting news letters are also available.
The school’s co-curricular schedule of about 80 competitions including 8 Inter – Religious Prayer session all the year round. Every festival is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. This is a reflective of its concern and respect for the plurality of Indian culture to which student must be exposed.
