St. Thomas School, formerly called Christian Model School, is one of United Christian Institute Suranussi, Jalnadhar City. The institute is jointly run by the Diocese of Chandigarh of the Church of North India and the Delhi Conference of the Methodist Church of India. The institute is laid out on a sprawling and scenic campus on the western out-skirts of Jalandhar city within its corporation limits along the Sher Shah Suri Marg. It is a non-profit, registered organization founded in 1944 to provide educational services of a High order of excellence to the children of Punjab without any distinction of caste, colour or creed with a special commitment for children from rural background. To further these ends, the founders of the Institute set up an Industrial Secondary School for Boys, a High School for Girls an Industrial Training Centre. St. Thomas School was set up 1972 as the Christian Model School.
