The St. Joseph’s Coat of Arms consists of a shield with a book at the centre. The Book is surrounded by a crown at the top, a lamp at the bottom and by lilies on the sides. Below the shield is the motto “Labor Omnia Vincit” meaning labour conquers everything. The Book at the centre symbolizes learning and knowledge. A Student is expected to acquire knowledge by hard work, believing that labour will yield its fruit. Through his knowledge the student is expected to shine as a lamp in front of others and to send his sweet of fragrance like the lilies, into the society in which he lives. The crown at the top is to symbolize that “victory” is the fruit of hard work.
