Golden Jubilee School was started as a result of the efforts of a group of leading citizens of Jalna who felt the need to start an institution on the lines of leading Public Schools in the country. Thus a society was formed called Golden Jubilee Education Society to run the school in 1997, the golden jubilee year of our independence to fund and run the school as a secular, non-residential, co-educational English medium school.
The aim was to establish a full-day school which would provide individualised student-centred education for the all-round personality development of the students with innovative methodology and the added advantage of ‘no satchels and no home work’ at least in the lower classes.
Thus, Golden Jubilee School was established in 1998 and started functioning in the Sri Ganapati Netralaya building. In June 2003, the school shifted to its present location near Santoshi Mata Temple, Jalna.
Golden Jubilee School is run by Golden Jubilee Education Society, Jalna, which has been declared as a linguistic (Hindi) minority educational trust from the academic year 2012-13
