Location and Learning at Chhatrapati Shivaji Public School, Dhule :
Chhatrapati Shivaji Public School, Dhule is located at Haranmal Hills, just 4 kilometers away from the town. It is spread in 48 acres sprawling campus with serene, pollution free and natural environment with pleasant weather round the year.
We foster an educational ambience that emphasizes individual attention, self -esteem and personal responsibility. The School maintains limited number of students in each class so that individual attention can be imparted to each student, along with a strong core curriculum and the opportunity to learn in a fun-filled, relaxed atmosphere using modern technology.
The academic methodology and system are planned to develop in every child the ability to think not only vertically but also laterally. We believe “Children are not Vessels to be filled, but Lamps to be lit”. Children learn to co-relate learning to daily life and theory to practical situations. They work on project and themes that provide them opportunities to develop varied skills and talents. The judgment of learning outcome spans a wide range of parameters. The committed faculties use various strategies to recognize and develop multiple skills set in children and also identify areas of importance.
The bridge curriculum is a unique feature of the school learning program. We recognize that children come to us from various background and mixed academic levels. Therefore, before we introduce the syllabus for a particular class, we commence the bridging process. Through this, we try to ensure that children grasp all important concepts in the core subject. Hence, the further learning process becomes more meaningful for the child as the foundation is firm and the transition is smooth.
The House system is the core of virtually all life, both inside and outside the classroom. The school has four houses i.e. Aravali, Nilgiri, Satpuda and Sahyadri baptised after the series of four hills. The arrangement provides each student with personalized care as well as for academic monitoring. It ensures a comfortable social environment and a structure within which, games and other activities can thrive. The house is focus of loyalty for the members, while at the same time providing security and identity. To promote teamwork, group activities are also encouraged such as gardening and development of land (3-4 acres per house), an activity a city school just cannot afford. The house team is responsible for both encouraging and motivating those in their House to achieve their potential. All Houses are supported by a skilled and dedicated group of ancillary staff.
