North Town Higher Secondary School, Chumukedima is a privately run co-educational English medium School. It is located on the left side of Khuova road, about one kilometer from 7th mile N.H. 29 Junction, Chumukedima. The School was given recognition by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) and made into a full fledged High School vide No. NBE-2/Ex-Recognition/2001-02 dated 18/12/01. The School stands committed for providing meaningful, vibrant and responsive education to children for meeting the challenges of our times.
The School was upgraded to Higher Secondary level (Arts Stream) in the year 2005.
The School campus covers an area of about 6 acres. There is a small stream flowing across the campus separating the School and the Hostel, which besides providing for other advantages, also serves to give a cooling effect during the hot summer months. It also serves to add up to the beauty of the campus. The school also has a wide playground which gives conducive environment for play and growth all-around. The campus being at a good distance off from the hustle and bustle of the town also provides for a calm, peaceful and homely atmosphere fit for study.
