St. Anthony's Girls Sr. Sec. School is a Govt. Aided school located in Paharganj, New Delhi, India. It's a Christian Minority Institution established and administered by the Seraphina Educational Society of the Institute of the Clarist Franciscan Sisters of the Most Blessed Sacrament, founded by Venerable Mother Seraphina Farolfi in 1898. The School follows the vision of Venerable Mother Seraphina in the education it imparts. Mother Seraphina's aim was the education of the girl child. To her the school is where the child has to be cared for, loved, understood, nurtured and guided in order to draw out her/his full potential. She felt that the relationship between the teacher and the taught should be that of a mother and child. According to Venerable Mother Seraphina the main duty of the educator is to study the character and capacity of each child and direct her to the path of truth and goodness. On February 19, 1934 saw the dawn of St. Anthony's Girls School with a handful of girl students on roll by an Italian Missionary, late Mother Benigna. It was a time when girl's education was not very popular, moreover the girls from lower, economic strata could never dream of going to school. Motherji with her far sighted vision, deep faith in God and firm determination went from door to door coaxing, persuading and pleading with the parents to send their daughters to her school. Then the school made rapid progress under the dynamic leadership of Motherji and late Mrs Jesudasan- the first Principal and her co-worker. Today it is one of the best girl's school of the locality.
