The role of private educational institutions to make the goal of universalisation of education possible has since been commended across the board by all. Establishing schools, in fact, has been the top charitable activity in Indian Society since time immemorial. Smt. Jai Devi Sharma of Village Baan Banwaripur in Dist. Hathras was a devout Hindu women who often felt the need of a school for the uplift of the rural folk. She nurtured a dream which was ultimately fulfilled by her worthy son and daughter in law. A school was established under the roof of the home with a few children as students as 1975. Later on it grew from strength to strength and now serves the community with Hindi being the medium of instruction up to High School. The need of a school with English medium as a medium of instruction was fulfilled by laying the foundation of S.J.D. Memorial Public School in 1996. It was a proud day for us when this institution was eventually affiliated to C.I.S.C.E. (popularly known I.C.S.E.). And yet the task begins henceforth. An eminent educationist has said that India’s 50 Lakh School teachers can transform a future society once they internalise the importance of their role and the task assigned to them. The transformation can be brought about only through imparting right type of education which inculcates values like respect, tolerance and creativity among the children. The aim should be to prepare the individual to understand his duties and responsibilities on one hand and the need to develop necessary competence, skills and attitudes to execute them on the other. S.J.D. Memorial Public School pledge this allegiance to this philosophy.
